I was delighted to be asked to return to the beautiful Asylum Chapel in Peckham in South London for Rose and Richard's absolutely gorgeous day. The Asylum is one of those venues in London where as soon as everyone walks in they just go... 'wow'.
Tucked away in Peckham you are never quite sure you are in the right place until you walk into the breathtaking Asylum Chapel with its crumbling walls and breathtaking ambience. There is nowhere else like it!
The team at the Asylum Chapel are great and seem to have a never ending supply of pillar candles!
For these flowers Rose and I decided to let the amazing Asylum set the scene and so we took inspiration from the muted blue/grey walls and decided to work with them rather than using anything too clashing. We used dusty teal eucalyptus, blue sea holly and white for a bit of lightening and brightening. Rose wanted to make the most of her budget and so we moved flowers in jam jars from lining the Asylum chapel, to dotted around on the tables and... they got their final move to the East Dulwich Tavern where it looked like the party was set to carry on for a loooong time!
Also wonderful for me was that a friend from school created this wonderful video of the big day. Although we were both frantically running around it was lovely to see her and meet her boyfriend during the madness. Her company is Indigo Wild Studio and I highly recommend her services.
